We'll be at Carabar this Saturday, August 3rd, along with Saintseneca, LVL UP and Mallwalkers. If you haven't seen us for a bit, and chances are you haven't since we've been in hiding most of 2013, then we've got a bunch of new material we'd like you to check out. The new record, to be titled Take It Down, is nearly done being tracked and the vast majority of its songs make up our current live set, so if you come with a tape recorder you can pretty much own the record before we do. Moon High go on first at 10pm sharp. Don't be late!
Please join us next Saturday, May 11th at A&R Bar. We'll be debuting a new song from our forthcoming album, 'Take It Down', as well as playing a handful of other songs from that record that have been in slow rotation in our increasingly infrequent live performances.
More details on the release of 'Take It Down' to follow in the coming months!
We are on a temporary hiatus from live shows while we create this new record. Please wish us luck and stay tuned for updates. See you all sometime next year!
Moon High have re-entered the studio and are in the midst of some recordings we are eager to share with everything. We'd also like to wish 'Six Suns' a happy birthday, and to celebrate we're marking down prices on the vinyl LPs! Limited edition white vinyl (which is all the more limited these days) is now only $12, while your standard issue black vinyl is down to the very reasonable price of $10. Both, of course, include a free digital download and can be found at our own online STORE, open twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, for your convenience.
Also, we are on a bit of a booking hiatus while we focus on finishing up these new recordings, and subsequently try to work them into our live set, but we do have a few appearances lined up for August where we may or may not debut some of them. Only one way to know......
Dates for Chicago, Milwaukee, Davenport and Madison have been confirmed for next week. This is our first time in a long time heading west of the Ohio, so please come catch us while you can.
We're making a trip to NY in a few weeks thanks to our good friends (and excellent band), Revival Times. If you're one of our NY friends, please come see us! And if you're not, please come anyway! All is welcome.
Even more live dates have been added for September, including a trip to Athens with our good friends Time and Temperature, and a spot at Ravari as part of Music Week Columbus. More to be announced for October soon.
Do you have your copy of 'Six Suns' yet? If not, please visit our store, or come see us at one of the many live shows added at the right. 'Six Suns' is also available at your favorite local record store, including Lost Weekend, Spoonful, Used Kids, Omega (for Daytonians) and Shake It (for Cincinnatians).
If you haven't picked up a copy of the latest 614 Magazine yet, you can check out the very nice article that Adam Scoppa wrote for us on their website. Also, be on the lookout for a 'Six Suns' feature in next week's Alive Magazine.
We've added some new live dates, including a spot on the 614 Magazine Showcase at Skully's and an in-store performance at Spoonful Records on Sunday, July 17th to celebrate their 1 Year Anniversary.
Copies of 'Six Suns' will be in hand next week, following a tour of the Gotta Groove plant, and we need to remind you once more to please attend our release show at Rumba Cafe on July 16th. Please see the post below for all the reasons you should not miss it....but if you do for some reason, it will be available Sunday, July 17th at Lost Weekend Records, Spoonful Records, and Used Kids.
The release of our second full length album, 'Six Suns', is only two weeks away now. As mentioned previously, we've got some special plans for the release show that night. Not only are two of our favorite bands playing (see side bar for clarification), but Sven Khans will be joining us on a few numbers with his lapped steel and the Sisters Alwood are providing added harmony to a couple tunes as well. Just trying to throw in some more reasons why this show should not be missed.
In other 'Six Suns' related news, an interview we did with Adam Scoppa will be featured in the July issue of 614 Magazine, and we're setting something up with Mr. Chris DeVille at the Columbus Alive that will hopefully run in next week's issue.
Still working on booking additional dates for the summer, so please check back in soon for more info about that. Also, please remember to check us out on Facebook, where you can sample a few songs from the new record. While you're there, go ahead and 'like' us...if you like us.
We're about a month away from the release of our second full length album, 'Six Suns', and could not be more excited. Just finished up an interview for 614 Magazine that will be in the July issue, and have planned to do a feature with Mr DeVille at Columbus Alive...so please keep a lookout for both of those. We'll be at Rumba Cafe this Friday, June 17th, with Ms. Ashley Brooke Toussant, of Kent, and Megan Palmer and The Hopefuls, which we're very much looking forward to. We've got some special plans for the release show in July that we hope to be able to share soon; and we're working on booking more dates this summer, a handful of which will be out of town. More to come...
We are very pleased to announce the upcoming release of our full length sophomore album, 'Six Suns', which will be available on vinyl and digital download July 16, 2011. The first 100 copies are hand numbered white vinyl, and every record will include a free digital download. Please check back for more updates and release show announcements outside of Columbus.
Busy, busy, busy. New shows announced at the right. New record almost finished and expected to be born sometime this summer. Site will be receiving a facelift while we wait on the vinyl to be pressed, and will be better off for it. Spring is here, spirits are high, and newness is the word. More to come soon.
